Managing health and safety at group sessions

We’ve been working hard to risk assess our group sessions to help keep everyone healthy and safe. A major part of this has been managing risk with regards COVID. Here’s a summary:

In the event of a medical emergency we will call 111 and inform the venue’s caretaking/management staff.

You can wear masks unless you are seated, if you wish.

Anyone with COVID symptoms, as outlined in government guidance, should not attend.

If you test positive for Covid-19 within 5 days of attending a session, please let us know.

You are welcome to maintain social distancing within the group, when singing (we have selected suitable venues to allow this, where possible) and you can maintain social distancing when entering/leaving or moving around the building when possible.

Please adhere to any signage/instructions provided by the venue.

The session-leader will tell you where the muster point is in the event of a fire and point out fire exits at the beginning of the session.

Please use the hand sanitiser provided when entering/leaving the building/session-room or toilets.  It is advisable for participants to also bring their own, for their own general use during the session.

It is preferable that individuals bring and use their own percussion or props. Some will be made available and it is completely at participants own risk if they choose to borrow these items during the session. Sanitising wipes will be available for you to clean borrowed equipment before and after use.

A-Z songbooks are available online for you to download from the link below. Alternatively, hard copies can be purchased, for you to keep, at the start of sessions at £2 each.
