The Sheringham Ukulele Band (SUBs!) formed following some ‘taster sessions’ we held as part of our Wednesday ‘Singing for Health, Wellbeing and Fun’ sessions at The Hub.
The SUBs have gone from strength to strength! They now lead ‘Sing-a-long-a-SUBs‘ sessions in local care homes and other community settings too.
The band meets to organise material and rehearse at The Tyneside Social Club in Sheringham on Mondays from 4:15 – 5:15pm. These fun, weekly meetings are very friendly and supportive. New members are always welcome, so if you can already play (even just a little!) you’d be very welcome to join. There may also be some beginner sessions starting again soon, subject to demand.
Joining SUBs is a great way to gain confidence with your playing, enjoy playing with others, meet like-minded people and broaden your social circle. Plus, if you join SUBs for gigs, you’ll be spreading the joy of live music with others too! If you’d like to learn to play the ukulele, SUBs members may be able to help with that too.
If you’d like to find out more or you’re interested in booking SUBs for a gig, contact us or pop along to one of the rehearsals at The Tyneside on Mondays (details above).
