Managing health and safety at group sessions

We’ve been working hard to risk assess our group sessions to help keep everyone healthy and safe. A major part of this involves managing risk with regards COVID. Here’s a summary:

Please book your space in advance as places are strictly limited.  At our Hub sessions you can book a complete table (come with friends, family or your social bubble!).  See further advice re booking for our groups here

In the event of a medical emergency we will call 111 and inform the theatre management present at the session.

We recommend that masks are worn unless you are seated (unless you have a medical exemption).

Anyone with COVID symptoms, as outlined in government guidance, must not attend.

If you test positive for Covid-19 within 7 days of the session, you must inform the PFC Session leader and the venue on 01263 822347.

Please maintain social distancing of 2 meters when entering/leaving or moving around the building when possible.

Please adhere to any signage/instructions provided by the venue. At our Hub sessions, in Sheringham, there is a one-way system in operation so follow the relevant signage for entering and leaving the building.

The session-leader will tell you where the muster point is in the event of a fire and point out fire exits at the beginning of the session.

Always use the hand sanitiser provided when entering/leaving the building/session-room or toilets.  It is advisable for participants to also bring their own, for their own general use during the session,  to avoid unnecessary moving around.

Upon arrival you can optionally scan the QR code with your mobile phone for NHS contact Tracing purposes as per government guidelines.  Contact details will also be collected from you on booking so that we can inform you if we are told that a participant has tested positive for COVID after one of our sessions.

It is preferable that individuals bring and use their own percussion or props. Some will be made available but it is completely at participants own risk if they choose to borrow these items during the session. Sanitising wipes will be available for you to clean borrowed equipment before and after use.

A-Z songbooks are available online for you to download from the link below. Alternatively, hard copies can be purchased, for you to keep, at the start of sessions at £2 each.
